DNA Testing
Last I checked with Jim Bullock, we were up to 32 DNA tests for Bullocks.
I cannot stress this enough, if you’re a male Bullock and a Bullock researcher, please take a DNA test. It does not matter where you are researching, it matters that you take the test, Especially if you are a U.K. Researcher. We have all these tests from here in the States; we need DNA test's from the U.K. to help us find where our Bullocks came from. And for the U.K. researchers, everything is cheaper here in the States, so the test would cost less money here than in the U.K. I also wish the Shropshire researchers would take the test, my own feeling is that most if not all of the Bullocks of Shropshire are related.
It's too bad that most all the researchers I talk to have such a narrow view of genealogy. It's like the old saying that you cannot see the forest for the trees.
It's sad to be on surname lists where the participants on those lists have three times and more DNA tested individuals then we do.
If you would like more information on DNA testing, email Jim Bullock, he is the coordinator for the Bullock DNA tests.
Test results can be seen here.
According to the haplogroup studies G2's and I's were the invaders of Britain, and came from Italy, France, Iberia and Armenia, which were under Roman Rule, and have the highest frequency of G2 samples. So our lines have been in Britain since the Roman Conquest, we are a very ancient family in the area.
